Scorrie Internet Services

Established in 2000, Scorrie Internet Services runs a successful group of web sites based in the counties of Caithness and Sutherland in the north of Scotland.

Caithness.Org

Our Flagship site, Caithness.Org, provides community information and news supported by a wealth of photographs of the county of Caithness, its people and places. As this web site began to grow we turned what were once sub sections of Caithness.Org into web sites in their own right.

The first of these new sites was the Caithness Business Index which details most of the businesses in the county.  This was closely followed by an identical site for the neighbouring county of Sutherland.  Both of these websites are free to businesses and now also carry free advertising for local properties.

Again as Caithness.Org became larger, more sections were transformed into web sites.  Sport.Caithness.Org, Arts.Caithness.Org followed a similar model to the already established Business Indexes but listing sports and arts groups instead.

Our What's On listings have also been ported to a separate web site and there we provide a free events guide for organisations or businesses in Caithness.

Now with a huge following, our forum also has its own domain, Forum.Caithness.Org where debates on local, national and international topics are constantly in progress.

With the rise in internet video on web sites such as YouTube and Google Video we started TV.Caithness.Org in order that we could list as many locally produced videos as we could.  Some we've even put together ourselves.
